About the photo. There is always "that guy". This is a California Quail - they're ground birds, like chickens. But there's always "that guy" that has to be different. "That guy" is identifying as a house finch (bird feeder bird). We love "that guy" doing his thing, his way. This is the "My Way" blog - I started it when I got my dx for diabetes, but there has always been a fashion/color thing going on. You'll still read about the medical piece, but far more about the color and fashion part of my life.

With diet alone after 2 months,

A12 6.5 (still high, but NO meds and a drop of .2)

I'm going to the walk in clinic next week (or maybe Friday) to have it done monthly.

I added Ozempic to the mix (no Metformin) and Keto(ish)

A1c August 1

The timeline is that I noticed that mid-June that my numbers were no longer stable - I half-heartedly started low carbing it...and saw my GP on June 27.

Still low-carb-ISH - I went back on Metformin (on the 27th) and (due to side effects) took myself off of it on July 15.if the A1c tests over 3 months, the first half of the test period was really bad eating, then 3 weeks of "ISH" then 2 1/2 weeks of really low carb eating (with a cheat meal once time a week)

I had my A1c done yesterday - it came back today 6.7%

We have a local "walk in clinic" that offers a few tests and A1c is one of them - $30, no doctor, no insurance...so I'm planning on having it done every month.
